Sisterhood is powerful! When women and men - men can be NOW members too! - gather together to share their feelings about discrimination, domestic violence, the need for better reproductive health care, the injustices that take place in family court, or numerous other injustices, an energy happens that can bring about positive changes. There is strength in numbers. NOW can provide you the structure and the resources to help.

Are you a feminist who would like to start a NOW chapter in your community? Contact us today and we can help you.

Top 10 Reasons to Start a NOW Chapter

1. NOW gives women a structure to facilitate social changes needed to bring equality to all women.
2. NOW lets women know they are not alone.
3. NOW educates the public on issues that affect our society as a whole.
4. NOW chapters bring strength to the women's movement.
5. NOW teaches women how to organize a political movement.
6. NOW encourages women to run for political office.
7. NOW raises the consciousness of women to understand that their personal struggles are part of a greater movement to keep women oppressed.
8. NOW gives women the emotional strength to stand up for their rights.
9. NOW teaches us we are victims of discrimination: women of color, young, older, lesbians, bi-sexual, transgendered. When we discriminate against one segment of our population, all women suffer.
10. NOW is a multi issue organization. We "connect the dots" in the movement. A single issue does not take precedent over another. All women matter!
