This bill provides for court approval of a written agreement or compromise for child support between a putative father and a mother or person on behalf of the child, which, when so approved, bars other remedies for child support
The National Organization for Women-New York State continues to support this bill, because one parent should not be able to sign away the rights of the child, whether the parents are married or not. This is in the best interest of the child.
